Keep an Infant's Feet Warm With Baby Slippers or Booties

Cow baby slippers

Baby's may not be running around much in their first few months, but it is surprising how quickly they will be. And anyway, even before they can walk, infants often need something to cover their feet, so footwear of some sort is a must to have on hand (if you'll pardon the expression) right from the newborn stage.

Another thing to consider is that parents like their babies and infants to look cute, and at their best for visitors and when going out. Choosing footwear, whether as a gift or for your own baby, therefore has a fashion element to it. In recent decades, though, a new reason for choosing footwear has emerged: baby stimulation and education; plus a bit of fun for all who see them.

Monkey baby slippers

Great big booties or slippers with faces on have been popular for some time now, so are not new; however, there are some really cute pairs of fun slippers about. These types of slippers are to babies what the shoes with flashing lights are to older toddlers and children. The slippers pictured here definitely fall into that fun, raise a smile category.

Such slippers as those shown can be very stimulating for a baby, once they realize that there are smiling faces on the front of their warm, cuddly shoes. You may find that these are the first items of clothing that really stimulate the baby enough to take a big interest in what she's wearing, especially if you show her the face up close before putting the slippers on her feet each time.

In the examples pictured, we have some animal favorites that most babies would get to love. Quite possibly, you will have pictures of the same animals around the nursery, on the wall, and on the bedding, so that would all help in helping baby to learn the animals. The booties shown here feature a frog, cow and monkey, although I must admit I thought the monkey was Doogle (a dog from Magic Roundabout)
