i’d say not too much since they are going to be growing quite quickly. more pajama’s than anything, a few outfits to bring the baby out (like when you visit people)

Our son is just now 3 weeks old and has been out of newborn clothes for a few days now… basically, get about 5-10 newborn onesies, 10 0-3 months, and so on…
Remember, they grow SOOOO fast, so the newborn outfits usually are outgrown in a matter of a couple weeks for full term babies.

For my newborn i only had him a couple oneisies, and a full body suit
I prefer the full body outfit cause the babies are able to stretch, then i had him socks, for his feet and hands. They do not need much and i would nt get alot of newborn things cause in a month they will be in 3-6 months clothing.

Tons…because they spit up and leak poop and pee all over everything.
So unless you want to be washing clothes non stop…you need lots of clothes…
But honestly…you’ll be washing non stop anyway….but it’s still nice to have lots of clothes handy…
It just sucks because they grow out of stuff ridiculously fast…
I tended to buy bigger stuff to begin with …not too many "newborn" outfits…but lots of 0-3 month…
Then again…my son was 10 pounds…so he didn’t have a chance at fitting the newborns stuff for long anyway…lol

you dont need that much clothes becuase alot of times a newborn can pull of with just a diaper. try to get it if its a girl alot of slip on dressses. its alot easier on u to put on the baby

start off with a load of sleepsuits and vests, maybe a couple of nice outfits but dont go too mad as either the baby will be too big or too small for them and may not get a decent wear out of them. ive gone mad with clothes for my baby and shes got so much shell probably only wear it all a couple of times overall, but the good thing is not needing to do so much constant washing. whatever suits you best.

I would suggest a gown because they are comfortable for baby and its easy for you to change diapers. And then wrap them in a receiving blanket. Thats all they need if they are inside.

There is a wonderful source called Mama Source where you can ask these questions and any others and get responses from real mothers daily. I don’t even have small children and like to read it. I can’t recommend it enough.
The other thing-Don’t have much because they outgrow it so fast. Good luck and enjoy your new one.

Don’t go out and spend a fortune. (seriously the best places to shop for your baby are at Walmart and Kmart. There clothes are nice looking, affordable, and easy to replace) Your babies outfits will be spit up on and messed in. Go for the onesies. They are the best. Your baby will be comfortable and you will be happy. Also, don’t buy too many things all in one size. Your baby will grow out of things very fast.
My son is 3 now, but when he was a baby he wore his outfits only a couple of times each. B/c he would either mess them up or grow out of them.
A beautiful gift for that new, little bundle of joy! This white wicker bassinet comes filled with wonderful gifts for the newborn, including baby booties, a growth chart, a cute giraffe rattle, a cap, mitt and bib set, a fun giraffe activity wrap that squeaks, rattles and crinkles in addition to having a mirror to occupy baby in the stroller or car seat, and a deluxe fleece blanket with crocheted edges.
